June 14 will see The Painted Lady transformed into a hub of high-energy live music and community spirit as Moshing Against Cancer brings together some of the region’s most exciting heavy acts for a powerful daytime charity event. Featuring a diverse lineup spanning hardcore, metal and alternative heavy sounds – Fall and Resist, Primitive Deserters, Yeah, Sick!, Otrera, Ergasia, Autophagia and Two Steps Forward — the event highlights the strength and diversity of Ballarat’s grassroots music scene. Running as a daytime, 18+ event, Moshing Against Cancer is designed to be accessible, intense and community-driven, offering audiences a packed program of live performances in a single afternoon. Event organises Will Cat and Liam Frost-Camilleri talk about how important causes are for many metalheads. “QUOTE” All proceeds from the $20 door entry will be donated to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute, a Ballarat-based organisation dedicated to advancing innovative cancer research and improving patient outcomes. Event organisers say the goal is simple: bring people together through heavy music while contributing to a cause that affects countless individuals and families. Moshing Against Cancer takes place at The Painted Lady, Ballarat, on Saturday June 14. Doors open at 1:00pm.
